TestBuddy is operated by Morgan Brunot, France (the controller). Contact: hello@jointestbuddy.com.
What we collect
- Your account: the email address and the account identifier of the Google account you sign in with, and your time zone.
- Your app: your app's name, one-line description, package name, closed test link, testing instructions and objectives.
- Test activity, from the SDK on testers' phones: a link code, an install token, when a session starts and how long the app stays in the foreground, and the objective keys the developer chose to record. Nothing else from the phone, and nothing about the app's own users: on a phone that is not linked to a tester, the SDK only announces the app key and package name.
- Feedback testers write about an app, with a rating.
- Visits to the public pages: counted by Umami, which we host ourselves and serve from jointestbuddy.com: the page, the referring site, the browser, the device type and the country, without cookies and without storing your IP address. The app under /app/ is not measured.
Why
To run the service you sign up for (contract): forming waves, assigning apps, validating test days, keeping credits, sending the reminders and the reports. Developers see their testers under a number, never their name or email.
Who else processes it
- Google, for sign-in.
- Resend, for emails.
- OVHcloud, which hosts the service in the European Union.
How long
Session events are deleted 120 days after they are received. Your account, campaigns, feedback and the credits ledger are kept while your account exists; the ledger is kept as an accounting record. Ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its use, by writing to the contact address above. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Cookies
No tracking cookies: page statistics use none. The app keeps your session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.
